Our church started from a small group of Brothers and Sisters getting together. Little did we know what God had planned for us.
Our Pastor, Michael Hunkus, at the time lead his flock first to a greenhouse with chairs until a building was found and rented. While in this little church house a few years, the owner decided to sell the building and of course, offered it to us first to purchase it. After lots of prayer over the decision, we decided against it. You see, we had in our possession, two acres and then acquired a third. Instead of buying that building our Pastor led us to possess that land. So, one beautiful Easter Sunday, we had our first service there. First there was a bench & a cross was erected, our Pastor would go there to pray. Later an awning was put up to protect us from the elements. There were very hot days here in the Florida heat & some cool days in the winter.
We broke ground for our new church building. After watching that building go up, a little each week, seemed so slow. Then that Christmas Eve we had our first gathering for a candlelight service in our new building.
Pastor Michael Hunkus, later passes his leadership to his best friend Pastor Sandy Kemp, who remained our Pastor until his passing in November 2023. We may be small but we always have room to grow.
We continue to meet in a beautiful air conditioned 45' wide x 75' long steel building, no longer out in the open air services. We continue to minister to the body of Christ in the mighty name of Jesus. Obeying the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20 We are raising money to build a multi purpose children's ministry steel building 24' wide x 40' long. A Food Ministry is established and Directer Bill Hatcher actively distributes Food on a regular basis. So far each week we feed approximately
300 - 500 people.
Join us every Sunday morning as we gather to worship together at 10:30 am - 12:00 PM
